The Condo Market has remained strong for Rockland Real Estate, due to the fact so many families wish to remain in the County, and its' close proximity to New York City. 

There are three luxury condo developments on the Hudson River in Rockland County. The first built was "The Clermont" in Nyack in the late 1980s (many of the condo units with boat slips). There are also smaller waterfront condos for sale in Nyack, as well as waterfront cooperatives in South Nyack and Nyack. Piermont Landing has a unique mix of Luxury Townhouses in Rockland-some of which offer full- concierge service. The Harbors at Haverstraw are currently under construction, but many units have been sold already, so act fast! Grab a ferry ride to the train and be in New York City in 70 minutes, from your waterfront townhome in Haverstraw.

The diversity of the Condo developments in Rockland County are out beat by the diverse lifestyles of their owners.

Condos and Townhomes in the greater Hudson Valley region have become a popular choice for many buyers purchasing a home recently, the benefits of having many of the maintenance issues of homeownership handled by a homeowner’s association (HOA).  Some choose the lifestyle for affordability or for first time ownership, whilst you also see a lot of empty nesters, people who travel a lot and people who are unable to take on the responsibility (or just don't want to be bothered) of home ownership. Choose the Condo Association to handle the chores of the Master Insurance, Building Structural Issues (roof, siding, sidewalks) and find writing one check for the Common Charges much simpler than hiring, making phone calls, and making appointments for repair issues.  Seniors also like the one floor living versus carrying packages up and down stairs and having the bedroom on the same floor as the rest of the living spaces while keeping their independence longer.

If you head west on 87 you will find a great amount of Nanuet NY Condos and a tremendous condominium community in "The Hamlets" which have 5 specific condo and townhouse communities within the Nanuet Hamlets.  The first built "Treetops" (1977), Vista Condos (1985-1987), The Knolls I & II (1987, with phase III in 1995), Timberline (1987) and finally Eagle Ridge Condos (1993-1995).  

Condo sales in Suffern are constantly a moving trend, from the affordable condos in Bon Aire to the more Luxurious Townhomes in Ramapo Cirque.

One of my favorite Condos (for the money) is Mountainview Condos in Valley Cottage (Clarkstown) where there are almost 800 very affordable units-- close to the NYS Thruway, with views of the Hudson River. Heading north to Pomona, there are the Crystal Hill Condos built in 2002. Many of these spacious townhomes  

Rockland County Condos vary from buildings once owned by investors that were once rented apartments eventually sold to individuals for the purpose of home ownership, to brand new developments on the shores of New York's Hudson River.
